how it works

Being a member of The Seedling Collective is all about joining a community of creative entrepreneurs right here in Old Town. Right now, membership is complementary - it’s not about charging a fee. Instead, our membership program is geared towards giving you another space to market and develop your brand, and helping out others to do the same. Members also get first dibs on reservations, including early access to co-working days.

When you book The Studio we’ll feature a long-form interview with our you on our blog, giving you another opportunity to share your story. Member events and activities are also highlighted in our regular newsletter and we’ll hold community promotions and events throughout the year to help you grow your network even more.

As a member of The Seedling Collective you’ll get access to the shared calendar where you can reserve The Studio at your convenience - no emails back and forth needed. When you’re ready to make a reservation, simply open the calendar, select your reservation type, and process your payment. We’ll email you with a personal key code before your start date along with other details about the space and you’ll be good to go.

Co-working days are released the Friday before to members first. You’ll receive an email notifying you of open co-working days and an invitation to book a seat.

If it’s your first time renting The Studio we’ll meet you on day 1 to walk you through its amenities. The Studio is otherwise not staffed so, similar to an AirBnB, if you have questions or concerns while you’re there you can always message the concierge and we’re nearby to help out.

Summer Rental Rates (June - July - August)

$150 per day Monday - Friday

$800 total Saturday & Sunday (both days are rented when you choose the weekend rate)

Fall Rental Rates (September - nOVEMBER)

$175 per day Monday - Friday

$1000 total Saturday & Sunday (both days are rented when you choose the weekend rate)

Holiday Rental Rates (December)

Please note that we are not offering bookings in December shorter than a single week. We have three available spots for December:

$2375 WEEK 1: December 2 - December 8

$2375 WEEK 2: December 9 - December 15

$2975 WEEKS 3 & 4: December 16 - December 24 (if you book this week, you can move out of The Studio as late as 12/26 with no extra charge incurred)

Winter rental rates (End of December - March)

$150 per day Monday - Friday

$800 total Saturday & Sunday (both days are rented when you choose the weekend rate)

Discounts available for pop-up or studio requests lasting two or more weeks. Email with your event details and we’ll chat.

Coworking Days

Available Mondays - Fridays unless the studio is otherwise reserved. Coworking days will be made available the Friday before and sign-ups will be first-come, first-served through the shared calendar. If space is available you can even reserve same-day. Wireless internet is provided.

*Please note: we are fully booked through the end of December so we will not offer any co-working days until after the new year.

$15 per seat, 6 seats available per day

Application Process & Insurance Details

  • Complete our short application form to apply (below)

  • If you’re planning to use the space for a retail pop-up or workshop, before your event you’ll need to be prepared to show proof of business insurance with an also named insured policy endorsement - we’ll reach out to you if we need this.

  • If you don’t have business insurance of your own but want to book The Studio for a workshop or retail pop-up, we have a solution. We researched short-term plans through our own insurer are pleased to share two policies that may work for you: the Short Term Special Events Insurance Program and the Vendors & Exhibitors Insurance Program.   • If you’re planning to use The Studio as private office space or on a co-working day you don’t need to provide proof of business insurance.

  • Once we have reviewed your materials, we’ll follow up if more information is needed. If everything checks out we’ll email you the portal information so that you can get started booking The Studio whenever you want!

Wondering what we’re screening for in the application? We mainly want to make sure you’re not a robot or spammer, and we want to ensure that The Studio is being used for legitimate business purposes. While we don’t expect your business to be fully formed in order to be a member we do need to see that you have a tangible idea with a product or service in mind. Also, we limit memberships to a manageable number so if we’re booked full, we’ll let you know that you have been wait listed and send you a note when things open up.
